  I usually have a nice time at this restaurant. The sun was shining brightly today, enough to show how dirty the blinds were that we sat next too. Dried on food and dirty kiddie finger prints. The hostess went to seat us and then noticed how dirty the bench was with bits of food from the last guests. My Pad Thai came with chicken instead of shrimp, so I starved while my family ate. They gave me a decent amount of large shrimp in the corrected dish, but then there were two tiny pieces of red pepper, no bean sprouts - so it was just noodles, peanuts, shrimp and the peanut sauce which was "OK" at best. Also my daughter's tacos came with EXtremely dry taco beef - in big lumps - it looked like it had been sitting somewhere prepped for a day. She didn't eat it. I feel more inclined to go across the street to Moxies.

  Our Caesar drink had no skewers and our Mexican salad didn’t have half of the items which it says in the menu. This is the third time and hopefully we wont be back here again. Being a slow Monday night can’t imagine why the service is sloppy. If there are no adequate ingredients, it’s better to inform the customer before serving it than expecting not the customer not to complain after serving.Loved you guys but today you lost 2 of your honest customers.

  Went in on a SUPER busy night. Were seated pretty quickly, our drinks came almost immediately after we ordered them which was great, but because it was SO BUSY the service was slow. We didn't mind at all but the manager obviously did. He came to our table and apologized for how long it took us to get our food, and compensated the whole thing (except drinks obviously)! Honestly I'm really impressed, even though we didn't mind the wait, it was nice that they did that for us. I always liked eating here and I know the food is incredibe, but this just makes me love it even more. Thank you for being so caring!

  went during a very busy night but were seated quickly which was good because the heat was blasting at the front door. Service was quick, friendly and caring. Loads of tv's and monitors throughout the dining area. Some booth seating is elevated and provides entertainment when people trip getting out and kick their phone like a soccer ball. Music is played quite loud but suitable for the jack Astor atmosphere. Dessert was the best part of the meal due to being free with a mailed offer.

  Great food as always BUT awful service. I went to the Jack Astors in Toronto a while ago for the first time and had amazing food and amazing service. Then yesterday I went to the one in Kitchener and had awful awful service. The waitress came over to our table once to get out order, (I ordered the Fajita Bowl with steak) she didn't ask me how I wanted the steak done and walked away before I had a chance to tell her. Then she wasn't the one who came and dropped our food off and then didn't ever come back to ask how the food was. The steak was RAW. The only time she came back to the table was for us to pay... after I had to ask her for the cheque because we were just sitting there and she wasn't coming over. All in all.. not a good experience and will not be back.
