  The service was also excellent. I got a great vibe from the staff who genuinely cared how I was enjoying my meal (shout out to Sarah B.). I give 5 star reviews when I cannot think of anything to improve. Excellent choice when you visit Kitchener.

  My girlfriend, her parents and grandparents, and myself stopped at Borealis for a late lunch on our way from Waterloo to Toronto after seeing quite a few vegan options online and were very happy with the experience.

  We entered the restaurant and asked if we had a reservation. After looking around and seeing about 5 people in the whole space, I imagine that one wasn't particularly needed for lunch, but possibly for dinner. Even without a reservation we were seated quickly by the host. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable with the menu and on-tap beers. The ambiance of the restaurant was also very nice! We were seated in a side room overlooking a patio and the nature-inspired artwork and natural light on the decor was very comfortable.

  I ordered the fish tacos and side salad to have something light before the drive and was extremely satisfied with the fresh ingredients. We split sweet potato fries, which were also cooked well. The service was quick and the server was almost too nice (like, strangely friendly). Being on the road for a long trip after, Borealis was certainly the highlight of any restaurants we stopped at. Unfortunately, they've set the bar for fish tacos, which no one has yet to beat!

  The food was excellent, I didn't try anything too exotic. I had the nacho's which didn't come with any meat so I added short rib which was amazing. The beer tap menu is over 20 long, and I had the Wellington brew. It was great to compliment the short rib for digestion.

  Went there at a very busy lunch time before Christmas. Service was excellent (server Luigi) food (buttermilk chicken & cornbread) as to die for and they atmosphere was very pleasant. Full stars for a great place.

  Amazing food, even the side dishes are delicious. Interesting cocktails. Highly recommended, definitely will visit again.
