  You get what you pay for. Don’t waste your money going into these franchise stores. Save your money and go to a real jeweller who puts care into their work. Who uses good materials and actually cares enough to make sure you’re happy. The difference being these box stores make everything in bulk, nothing is handcrafted. It’s all quantities not quality.

  My boyfriend and I came into the store November 26 and filed a special order for my ring to be resized. The estimate they gave us was 4-6 weeks before the ring came in, and said if we were lucky we would get it by Christmas so I could wear it to family dinners. I came in January 2 since we had not heard from them about the ring. The employee we spoke to said that the order was sent out December 2 (almost an ENTIRE WEEK after we filed for the special order...) and at the very latest, by January 9th they would have the ring in the store. I came in January 9 and still no ring, and they said they would call when it was in. As I am writing this review it is January 18 and we have not gotten a single phone call from them about whether or not they have received the ring, nor have they called to let us know that we would have to wait a little longer due to a delay or a problem with the order, or a way to track our order for that matter. Unfortunately a very poor first experience for us. My boyfriend has gone to many different jewellers over the years-Peoples, Pandora, the Bay, etc, and none of them have given us this much trouble, and if they had, I'd expect they would at least update us with new information!

  HUGE MISTAKE! I got my ring back and within a month the band had snapped in three places. I decided to take it to my jewellery place and have them take a look at it. My ring is a 1.5 crt princess cut and they sized my ring using the wrong method. Not only did the process they used cause my band to break at the centre on the palm of my hand, but they actually damaged the prongs that held my stones into the setting.

  I took my Ring here to be sized. It was purchased from Cambridge centre, but living in kitchener I decided to go to Fairview to save myself some time.

  My ring is worth $4000 and because of their lack of care with it I almost lost my stones. I have many, many items from Michael Hill, but I will never buy from them again.

  Micheal Hill did nothing to try to fix my issue. I took my ring to my jeweller and paid for the ring to be repaired. My $4000 ring just cost me another $800 to have it fixed because of the incompetence of your company. It’s a shame you don’t care more about your customers, and the investments we make in purchasing what we are told are high quality items.

  All warranty was voided by Micheal Hill because I had someone else LOOK at my ring. I have never been so disappointed in a store, and the poor workmanship they provided.
